This software's main goal is to give direct hardware control to your video graphics adapter. It has features such as setting Custom RefreshRates in increments of 1 Hz (should work with the Desktop, Glide/OpenGL, Direct3D), OverClocking on the fly (No need to Reboot Windows), and setting registry tweaks (these are currently limited to 3dfx Voodoo Banshee, 3dfx Velocity, 3dfx Voodoo3, 3dfx Voodoo4 4500, 3dfx Voodoo5 5500. "Voodoo5 6000 is untested"). It will also save and restore positions of desktop icons. Icon positioning is applicable to any person without the limitation of the video graphics adapter. This software is complaint with Windows 95, 98, Me, NT4, 2000. Please note that this software is Beta-ware and maybe unstable.

Before changing settings in "OverDrive", it is recommended that you first switch display settings to the deepest color depth, the highest resolution and refresh rate possible. After changing the settings, you should run extensive graphics benchmarking programs to check for any problems.
