Sony's Japanese web site reports that three games have failed to perform with its latest hardware revision, 8 December 2000.

According to Sony this is a game, software based fault and the Game developers responsibility. The hardware reviusion was carried out to fix a problem with the machines DVD remote control unit. The games will run on all previous versions of the PS2.

Konami, one of the developers involved will be replacing the game with a new, working version.

This is the latest in a series of DVD related problems which seem to be plaguing the PS2.
Early this year, following its release, PS2 had faulty memory cards, which when combined with Ridge Racer IV would erase the DVD playback software. To combat this SONY introduced DVD playback hardware for the European and American versions of the PS2.
