Deus Ex: Invisible War Demo

oh hell yeah!

First of all:MAKE SURE you have a video card with pixel shader 1.1 or this demo will not run!. Basically if your video card has 'MX' in the name it will NOT run. Most cards less than Radeon 8500 will NOT run the game either.OK, hmmm, a few problems with the demo, obviously, console style interface, framerate etc but you get used to it. But I believe the thing that made the original game so good (the characters and the conspiricy based story) will be intact in the final game. Of course there is no conspiricy based plot or character background in this demo, because they were specifically removed from the demo to prevent giving away any of the plot. So I believe this demo doesnt do the full game justice. Play through the full game for a few minutes and you will be sucked into the story, just like the original.

please no more complaints about the bad console style interface, frame rates, no headshots etc- these problems are all too abvoius to everyone that they dont need to be mentioned. remember, dont focus on just the negative!

Ok, I have a GeForce 4 440MX. I understand that I will not be able to run the demo, but will I be able to run the completed, full version of the game?

i got a ti4200. is this game gonna run?? i really want to play the demo the 1st deus ex eas one of my best games around at the time and im lookingh forward to playing on this :)Im gonna chance it and download it now anyway so i hope it does run, ive no idea though if my card has pixel shader whatever on it.

hmmm....so this demo won't run on geforce cards then it will surley run on my 128mb radeon 9800 pro i'm gonna have fun trying this demo :P at least i did good to buy a new pc this week :P

Hey Julton!, you have to install the windows xp service pack 1, and all the others updates from windows update. The fx5600 is and excelent card, the game wil run just fine.And for Gazz the ti4200 have pixel shader indeed.Maybe, the ati cards could be faster than nvidia, but the driver unified architecture and the quality of the nvidia products can not be compared.

geforce 2 ti user, do not download this demo, gf2 is not supported .....................

TOO BAD YOU NEED HARDWARE SHADERS TO PLAY! BOY THIS SUCKS FOR US POOR KIDS STUCK WITH dx7 generation cards. the only dx7 gen card that'd work is the GF3.

ok now that i have read to the bottom and found n e card with mx at the end the game will not run i am f**king ******..so now what everyone has to go out by f**king 9800's? marvellous those p.c world bastards are gonna pay. Why would anyone buy a MX440, they are glorified Geforce 2, cant even do directx 8. If you cant afford a radeon get a geforce 4 ti4200 or something, dont go any lower than that.

For all of you who's video card can't run this, YOU AREN'T MISSING OUT. I played this game for 5 minutes and I got bored off my ***. Horrible game play and the graphics are pretty ******. I also had to shoot this ***** in the head 8 times for her to die.. which is rather retarded

Note that he was talking about laptop integrated video which is much more advanced than desktops!Nearly all laptops these days only have integrated video to obviously keep temperature/price/size down and they are actually OK for most games, laptop integrated video such as Radeon M9 with shared RAM are far better than desktop PC integrated video. But I managed to pick up my laptop a couple months ago and it actually has an AGP 32MB Radeon 7500 (NOT shared!), which is pretty decent for a laptop.I ran the demo (on my desktop PC of course - Ti4600) and was a little dissapointed with the 'dumbing down' of the gameplay to suit Xbox. But I gotta say, the graphics are look amazing, this is the first time I have seen these features used in an actual game rather than something like 3DMark2003!! They are quite different from what we are used to seeing even in next gen games like Doom3 or HL2. Unfortunately it may look ugly to somepeople with improper hardware..... but you cant please everyoneTO "f**k all you faggy dorks": it is obvious you are a complete ****** so you dont have to prove it to us, so we will just ignore you.

so I tried this out and it needed pixel shading 1.0 I was eagerly awaiting the release of DX 2 having loved the first. But now I found out I have to invest $200 bucks in a new card just to play it, wtf!

cs is a good game. it might not even be great. but it still on the shelves and at a steady price for how long? that does say alot. cs isnt a good game to have as your primary game, or latest thing. but, like a slutty ex-girlefreind she is there when you need her, no matter how mny times u make her sleep in the wet spot. and since you know what to expect there is no let-down from being excited about a game, then it just being hyped up crappy game...ehem SWG cough cough...so no its not great, but its good keep around and go back to.
