In order to play the game, you need to create an Ubi.com account, through the
Ubisoft Game Launcher or on the official Ubisoft website (****://www.ubi.com).
Moreover, an active Internet connection is also mandatory to run the game and
during your whole game session.
Finally, the Ubisoft Game Launcher needs to be installed in order to run the
game.
If you have uninstalled the Ubisoft Game Launcher by mistake, just run the game
through Steam and it should reinstall the Ubisoft Game Launcher.

1.2. Language Selection
The default language will be the one set in Steam. However, you can change the
text language and the voice language by setting them in the options
(My R.U.S.E => My Options => Gameplay tab).

1.3. Uninstallation
R.U.S.E. can be uninstalled from the Add/Remove Programs icon located in the
Control Panel (Start->Settings->Control Panel). Locate the R.U.S.E. entry and
click on the Change/Remove button, then follow the instructions on-screen to
uninstall the game.
You can also uninstall R.U.S.E. through Steam. Right click on R.U.S.E. entry and
select "Delete Local Content".

2. General Notes

2.1. Display/Performance Settings
The Graphical Settings can directly impact the memory usage of the game. If your
computer lacks RAM memory, these settings should be lowered down accordingly.
The game has been tweaked to run well on both single and multi-core systems.
However, it will work best on a multi-core CPU and it is highly recommended to
experience the game to its full potential.
It is important to make sure the latest available drivers are installed.

2.2. Optimal Settings
When launching the game for the first time, the game will attempt to detect the
optimal settings for your system by default. If the game is unable to fully
identify your computer, then the settings are going to be set on Medium by
default.
To test your settings, a benchmark mode is available. To run it, please go to
"My R.U.S.E.", then "My Options" and press the "Launch Benchmark" button.

2.3. Saved Games
The Saved Games are stored in the following folders:

Where %WindowsUserID% should be replaced by the name of your Windows session / account.

If you experience any graphical problems, please update your video and motherboard

3.4. Installing DirectX
R.U.S.E. requires DirectX runtime libraries from August 2009 or later to run properly.
To get the latest version of DirectX, please visit:

DirectX is also provided on the install disc in the folder Support\DirectX and
automatically installed when you install R.U.S.E..
If you receive an error message about missing DLL files, reinstall DirectX from
the install disc or from the folder where the game has been installed to correct
the problem.

3.5. Hints
* It is _not_ advisable to install the game into the Windows folder (usually
  C:\Windows), a subfolder of the Windows folder, nor the root of the system
  drive (usually C:\).
* It is recommended to close all other running programs before installing the
  game, to reduce the risk of software conflicts.
* If you experience graphical corruption, make sure your graphics driver's
  control panel is _not_ configured to override application settings.
* Vibration support is only available if using the Xbox 360 controller.

* The game offers compatibility with CrossFire, but the performance will be lower
than a single card from the CrossFire setup.

* AMD Athlon 64 users could encounter all-around freezes during gameplay, especially when zooming in and out

To generate this report:
1. From Windows, click Start->Run (In Vista, just click Start)
2. In the Open box, type DXDIAG (In Vista, use the Start Search box) and press Enter.

Pour pouvoir jouer au jeu, vous devez dabord crer un compte Ubi.com,  partir dUbisoft Game Launcher ou du site officiel dUbisoft (****://www.ubi.com).
Une connexion internet active et stable pendant toute la dure de votre session de jeu est galement ncessaire pour excuter le jeu.
Enfin, pour pouvoir excuter le jeu, Ubisoft Game Launcher doit tre install.

1.2. Choix de la langue
La langue par dfaut est celle paramtre dans Steam. Vous pouvez toutefois changer la langue du texte et la langue des voix dans les options.
(Mon R.U.S.E => Mes options => onglet Jouabilit).

R.U.S.E. peut tre dsinstall  partir de licne  Ajouter ou supprimer des programmes  qui se trouve dans le Panneau de configuration (Dmarrer->Paramtres->Panneau de configuration). Trouvez lentre  R.U.S.E.  et cliquez sur le bouton  Modifier ou supprimer , puis suivez les instructions  lcran pour dsinstaller le jeu.
Vous pouvez galement dsinstaller R.U.S.E.  partir de Steam. Faites un clic droit sur lentre R.U.S.E. et choisissez  Supprimer le contenu local .

2.1. Paramtres daffichage et de performance
Les paramtres graphiques peuvent avoir un impact direct sur lutilisation de la mmoire du jeu. Si votre ordinateur manque de mmoire RAM, ces paramtres doivent tre ajusts en fonction.
Ce jeu a t conu pour sexcuter sur des systmes monocurs et multicurs.
Toutefois, un processeur multicur vous permettra une excution optimale. Il est fortement conseill de profiter du jeu au maximum de ses possibilits.
Il est important de sassurer que les derniers pilotes disponibles sont installs.

Au premier dmarrage, le jeu essaiera de trouver les paramtres optimaux par dfaut pour votre systme. Sil ne parvient pas  identifier correctement votre ordinateur, les paramtres seront rgls sur Moyen, par dfaut.
Pour tester vos paramtres, un mode test est disponible. Pour lexcuter, allez   Mon R.U.S.E. , puis  Mes options  et cliquez sur  Commencer le test .

Si vous rencontrez des problmes audio, veuillez mettre  jour les pilotes de votre carte son en installant les dernires versions disponibles. A la fin de ce document, vous trouverez une liste des sites internet des principaux fabricants de cartes son.

3.3. Installation de DirectX
Pour sexcuter correctement, R.U.S.E. a besoin des bibliothques dexcution DirectX daot 2009 ou plus tard.
Pour obtenir la dernire version de DirectX, rendez-vous sur :

DirectX est galement fourni sur le disque dinstallation, dans le dossier Support\DirectX et sinstalle automatiquement lorsque vous installez R.U.S.E.
Si vous recevez un message derreur concernant des fichiers DLL manquants, rinstallez DirectX  partir du disque dinstallation ou du dossier dans lequel le jeu a t install pour rsoudre ce problme.

3.4. Astuces
* Il nest pas recommand dinstaller le jeu dans le dossier Windows (C:\Windows, le plus souvent), dans un sous-dossier du dossier Windows, ou  la racine du disque systme (le plus souvent C:\).
* Il est conseill de fermer tous les programmes en cours dexcution avant dinstaller le jeu, afin de rduire le risque de conflit entre les logiciels.
*Si vous voyez une corruption graphique, assurez-vous que le Panneau de configuration pour la carte graphique n'est PAS configur pour craser les paramtres d'application.
* La prise en charge de la vibration n'est disponible que si vous utilisez la manette Xbox 360.

* Le jeu est compatible avec CrossFire, mais les performances seront plus faibles quavec une seule carte.
* Les solutions  deux GPU proposes par Radeon causeront des clignotements dans les menus du jeu (notamment avec Radeon 3870X2 et Radeon 4870X2).
* Les utilisateurs de processeurs AMD Athlon 64 pourront galement rencontrer des blocages gnraux en cours de jeu, en particulier en effectuant des zooms.

Das Spiel wurde optimiert, um auf Einkern- wie auch Mehrkernsystemen gut zu laufen.
Trotzdem wird es am besten auf einem Mehrkernsystem funktionieren und ein solches empfohlen,
um das volle Potential des Spiels genieen zu knnen.

* Es ist _nicht_ ratsam, das Spiel in das Windows-Verzeichnis zu installieren (blicherweise

Per giocare  necessario creare un account ubi.com mediante l'Ubisoft Game
Launcher o dal sito ufficiale di Ubisoft (****://www.ubi.com/it).
 inoltre necessaria una connessione Internet attiva, sia per avviare il gioco
che durante l'intera sessione.
Infine, per poter avviare il gioco  necessario aver installato l'Ubisoft Game Launcher.
Se l'Ubisoft Game Launcher  stato disinstallato per errore, avviare il gioco via
Steam. In questo modo, l'Ubisoft Game Launcher dovrebbe essere reinstallato.

1.2. Selezione lingua
La lingua predefinita sar la stessa impostata su Steam.  comunque possibile cambiare la
lingua del testo e quella delle voci impostandole dalle opzioni.

1.3. Disinstallazione
R.U.S.E. pu essere disinstallato dall'icona Installazione applicazioni nel Pannello
di controllo (Start->Impostazioni->Pannello di controllo). Individuare la voce R.U.S.E.
e fare clic sul pulsante Cambia/Rimuovi, quindi seguire le istruzioni a schermo per
disinstallare il gioco.
 inoltre possibile disinstallare R.U.S.E. via Steam. Fare clic con il pulsante destro sulla
voce R.U.S.E. e selezionare "Elimina contenuti locali".

2. Note generali

2.1. Impostazioni schermo/prestazioni
Le impostazioni grafiche possono incidere direttamente sull'utilizzo della memoria del gioco. Se la memoria
RAM  insufficiente,  consigliabile abbassare queste impostazioni di conseguenza.
Il gioco  stato modificato per essere eseguito sia sui sistemi multicore, sia su quelli a core singolo.
Ciononostante, il gioco funzioner al meglio su CPU multicore.  preferibile godere dell'esperienza
di gioco sfruttandone il massimo potenziale.
 importante assicurarsi che siano installati i driver pi recenti a disposizione.

2.2. Impostazioni ottimali
Al primo avvio, il gioco tenter di rilevare automaticamente le impostazioni
ottimali del sistema. Se sar impossibile identificare completamente
il computer, le impostazioni verranno regolate automaticamente al livello
medio.
Per testare le proprie impostazioni  disponibile una modalit di benchmark. Per eseguirla, accedere
a "Il mio R.U.S.E.", poi a "Le mie Opzioni", quindi premere il pulsante "Avvia benchmark".

Se si verificano problemi grafici, aggiornare i driver video e quelli della scheda madre

delle schede madre pi comuni.

3.2. Installazione driver audio
Se si verificano problemi audio, aggiornare i propri driver audio utilizzando i pi
recenti a disposizione. Alla fine di questo documento sono indicati i link ai siti

3.3. Installazione DirectX
Per essere eseguito correttamente, R.U.S.E. richiede le librerie di runtime DirectX dell'agosto
2009 o successive. Le versioni di DirectX pi recenti sono disponibili su:

La DirectX  fornita anche sul disco di installazione, nella cartella Supporto\DirectX, e
verr installata automaticamente con l'installazione di R.U.S.E.
Se viene visualizzato un messaggio di errore relativo a file DLL mancanti, reinstallare la
DirectX dal disco di installazione o dalla cartella in cui  stato installato il gioco. Il
problema sar cos risolto.

3.4. Suggerimenti
* Non  consigliabile installare il gioco nella cartella Windows (in genere
  C:\Windows), in una sottocartella della cartella Windows o nella radice
  dell'unit di sistema (in genere C:\).
*  consigliabile chiudere tutti i programmi in esecuzione prima di installare
  il gioco, per ridurre il rischio di un conflitto tra software.
* Se si verifica un errore grafico, assicurarsi che il pannello di controllo del driver
  grafico non sia configurato per eseguire un override delle impostazioni dell'applicazione.
* Il supporto alla vibrazione  disponibile soltanto se si utilizza un controller Xbox 360.

* Il gioco  compatibile con CrossFire, ma le prestazioni saranno inferiori rispetto
all'uso di una scheda singola del setup CrossFire.
* I prodotti Dual GPU della famiglia Radeon causeranno sfarfallio durante la visualizzazione dei menu di gioco (per esempio: Radeon 3870X2 / Radeon 4870X2).
* Utilizzando un AMD Athlon 64 si pu andare incontro a blocchi durante il gioco, in special modo a seguito dell'utilizzo dello zoom.

Per generare questo rapporto:
1. Da Windows, fare clic su Start->Esegui (In Vista, fare semplicemente clic su Start)
2. Nel campo Apri, digitare DXDIAG (In Vista, utilizzare il campo Inizia ricerca) e premere Invio.
3. Una volta aperto il file DXDIAG, fare clic sul pulsante "Salva tutte le informazioni...".
4. Fare clic sul pulsante Salva. Il file verr salvato sul Desktop come file di testo.
