Can your PC handle Titanfall? Probably

While Titanfall is an undeniably pretty game, it doesn't pack hundreds of characters on screen at once and in reality there's only going to be a few human players in each game - so perhaps it's no surprise that the system requirements aren't that bad at all.

These aren't necessarily official, in that they come from a press release, but the Tweets that outed the information were by Vince Zampella, co-founder of Infinity Ward and Respawn, so you can put at least a bit of faith in them.

He said:

"Min: 64-bit Windows 7, 8, 8.1 AMD Athlon X2 2.8GHz or Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4GHz 4GB RAM 512MB VRAM, Radeon HD 4770 or GeForce 8800GT"

The idea that you'll be able to play the latest and greatest PC shooter on an 8800GT and a Core 2 Duo is pretty encouraging for people rocking ancient hardware, but of course the recommended and ultra specs will be a lot higher - we just don't know what they are yet.

In response to the news, Vince's fans took it in a new direction and pestered him about an open beta, to which he said:

"Need to put a build through certification and pass before we officially announce a date for beta."

It's confirmed that there will be one, we just don't know if we're talking days or weeks. However, we do know Respawn is considering a non-Windows OS version, which means Mac and Linux gamers could potentially dive in and gun down enemies right alongside their Windows cousins.

Who here is excited for Titanfall?
