Gearbox have started an online countdown timer for some Duke Nukem-related big news.
The website doesn't too much info beyond the fact that the reveal has something to do with Duke Nukem 3D's 20th anniversary and that a cheaply-designed timer is set to go off on September 2nd at 6:30pm Pacific.
Duke Nukem started as a 2D platformer in 1991 before it made the jump to 3D with Duke Nukem 3D in 1996. Since then several spin-off titles and one botched up sequel was released but the majority of those games did nothing but ruin the game's legacy.
Gearbox is holding its PAX West panel on September 2 at 4:00pm so it is likely that Gearbox might want to share the news with its biggest fans before the rest of the world.
