Hisense is the first to launch a 240Hz gaming TV

High refresh rates are becoming the norm on TVs targeting gamers, too, with many recent generation TVs from the big names debuting 120Hz 4K models to help take advantage of the higher frame rate and resolution support of the new-generation Xbox and PlayStation consoles. However, that's a long way behind the top of the line gaming monitors, so it's perhaps no surprise that we now have a 240Hz gaming TV, this time coming from Hisense.

The Hisense Gaming TV Ace 2023 is a 65-inch TV targeting gamers with a fully 240Hz rated panel, a full-spec HDMI 2.1 port, with variable refresh rate and Freesync support. It's 4K resolution, and has full support for 4K 120Hz mode for gaming on the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5. It also supports the much higher refresh rates possible for connected gaming PCs.

For those more interested in streaming games at higher frame rates, this TV also has an onboard quad-core ARM Cortex A73 processor, 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, making it a capable little device in its own right and more than ready for handling high FPS streams from streaming services. It also has Wi-Fi 6 and Ethernet connections.

The TV is currently selling in China for a US equivalent of $865 -- a fair price for such a high-spec TV. It's not clear yet if it'll make its way Westward, but it seems likely.
