Lara About to get a Face Lift

Two years after her disappearance, following the collapse of a tomb in Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation, Lara Croft is about to resurface in her usual extravagant fashion.
In two grand events in London and San Francisco, on March 21st, Lara's developers, core design, will re-introduce her to her eager fans.
Rumors of drastic changes and an almost complete re-modeling of the character had been widespread, it is however expected that the developers decided against that course of action in order to avoid alienating Lara's wide fan base.
"We looked at many scenarios and decided that to change her key attributes would be fundamentally wrong," says Core Design's Adrian Smith.
One important change will be the shift from a cartoon-like Lara to a character with a more animated feel. Most of the characteristics which have made Lara a success will remain. Her trademark athletic nature, full figure and aggressive attitude will still be evident.

In her new game, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider - The Angel of Darkness, Lara will be given a greater wardrobe and will continue her Tomb Raiding even in jeans. The plot of the game will also feature some changes with the developers going for a deeper character with a darker side.
Lara will be accused of murder and "suddenly everything we know about Lara works against her," says Smith. "She's very much being the pursued."
The game is expected to launch in November 2002 for the PC and Playstation 2. According to Core the PS2 will be the only console to feature Lara Croft games.
