Ive been whit WF the sec it was born for quake 2... it was created since Team fortress was not on quake 2 but now its in quake 2 & 3. I got a 56k 2x modem and i have intention of downloading it i realy dont care about the Megs involve since its Extremely worth it.

83mb isn't that big. Mods like Strike Force are well over 100mb.Anyone with a 56k modem should be able to dl it with no problem. I am on dual ISDN (128k) and it only took me 30 minutes.

"a pc cant compete with PS2" theres an idiot, the only console a pc cant compete with is the X-Box and the PS2 (peice of **** twice over) doesnt even have 1% of the power the X-Box does i hate to give bill credit for all this but he seems to have realized if you build a console you dont have to deal with intels standards and you can make a gameing system that can beat even pc's, i hope they make it so you can hook a monitor up to it beacuse a tv is just a waste on such a powerfull system

Most of the parts in there are just "ok" computer parts bought at mass quantity and packedged to make a profit off of people like you. If any playstation had nvidia graphics in them than that would be something to boast about. DO you even know what graphics card is in there? What about the DVD capability? How fast is that? A 5x DVD runs perfect with a DXr card. Why would you need a to spend more money then? Is that what sony did? How much do you really know about the PS2- can you upgrade when ever you want or do you have to wait till yours is being givin away to schools before you are able to upgrade?

I have had consoles all my life, in comparison to PC's , they suck, you can download free demos, patches and extra levels every day with a PC, don't give me that console crap!!!

With a console, you don't have to worry about compatibility, upgrading, DirectX, OpenGL, D3d, drivers, and so on. While PCs are overall much more useful, they are a high-maintenance machine. Consoles have dominated over the PC game market for this reason. While it is true that PC gaming is becoming more mainstream all the time, consoles appeal greatly to those who enjoy playing games, without the hassle of changing the parts and drivers every wee/month/year, whatever. You just pop in the game, and PLAY.The #1 advantage i Give Consoles over PCs is social fun. With the exception of small networks ike LANs, PC gaming is either single-play, or on-line multiplay. WHile it is fun to play against virtual opponents, you lose the fun that you get from playin a multiplayer console game and talkin trash with your friends. Do I support either PC or console?NO. I think they're both extremely useful for a reason. And everyone can be like, I GOTS ME A 1.3 GHz processor, with a Geforce2 64MB card, and 800 MB of RD-RAM and whatever, good for you.The point of the console specs is that it performs so well without having to have all that power. WHat do you think a console system would look like with a 1.5 GHz processor and a state of the art GPU? The graphics on the next-gen consoles ARE better than PC graphics, HANDS DOWN, NO QUESTION, and they only use a fraction of a PCs power to do so.

Firstly, i'd like to thank "ger" for saving me a few lines... OK all you console owners, i have some information to tell you that's gonna make you re-think. Imagine you have a PS2, hell i don't care what it is - a PS9! The point is: unless Sony (or whoever) isn't willing to upgrade/trade in your device, it will only degrade from use (and in comparison to PC's and newer consoles over time). A PC can access the net (without having to bloody boast about it like Sega), it can be used to hack into bank accounts/military organizations and theoretically launch missles towards major cities... not that i didn't mention the more entertaining aspects of a PC. If the graphics on a console equal or better those of a certain type of PC today, that same console wont be worth a goddamn paper-weight in a year or two...then you gotta shell out cash for a new system, games etc... and BTW, on my PC i can play almost ANY console machine games (PSX GFX are improved due to antialiasing, as well as a true-spacial effect given by the 3D-eyewear) - did i mention 12-speaker surround and DVD? A CD burner for when i want another psx game? Decisions, decisions, decisions....

I Have Every Console Ever Made! And I Have A Killer PC. If You Believe In Only One Then Your A Fool Thats Missing Out On Something. You Cant Have It All Unless You Have It All!!!!
