Rockstar Apologizes To GTA Online Players With $500,000 In GTA V

As an apology for GTA Online's troubled launch, Rockstar is giving half a million in-game dollars in GTA: V to all players who connect to the multiplayer mode during this month.

"The stimulus package is an "I'm sorry" gift from Rockstar Games for the cloud server errors, connection issues, and lost game progress and characters during the first days of GTA Online," stated the company.

Before receiving your GTA Online cash, though, gamers are instructed to install the upcoming GTAV title update (1.04), which will allow Rockstar Games to provide the GTA$ stimulus cash to players. It will also fix vehicle purchase loss issues, and gamers can expect to see it next week.

The half a million will be delievered to October gamers in two separate deposits of $250,000 apiece. Rockstar didn't say when these two deposits will take place, but said it would update gamers at Rockstar Newswire.

Rockstar Games said it expected deposits to start as early as next week.
