Two Pokémon Go players beat a legendary all by themselves

It turns out you don't need a whole team of people to beat the legendary Pokémon in Pokémon Go, you just need a good friend, favorable type matchups and a lot of powerful Pokémon. In a new video posted by player boushinshi, this theory was proved with both them and a pal using their own collection of high-level Golems to take on a super powered Moltres and win.

Since the release of the legendary Pokémon at the disastrous Pokémon Go Fest event in Chicago a couple of weeks ago, players have been speculating that with the right team, a bit of luck and quick fingers, it would be possible to take on these brand new, ultra-touch enemies with just a friend or two, rather than the teams of 20+ that Niantic originally envisioned.

it turns out players were right too, as with just seconds to go in their attack, boushinshi and their friend manage to do the near-impossible and whittle down the Moltres' 40,000+ health all by themselves.

Perhaps this shouldn't be surprising though. Boushinshi has been proving that it's possible to beat some super-tough Pokémon for some time now. Following the introduction of high-level raid battles earlier this year, they took on a 34,000 HP Tyranitar and managed to win with just one friend and a lot of Machamps.

Of course you need to have an obsessively large Pokémon Go collection for this to be a viable technique, but it shows that it's possible if you care enough to try.
