Warface Beta Coming to an End

Warface

We talked about Warface a few weeks ago, looking at it as a possible contender in the growing Esports arena and a potential replacement for games like Call of Duty, which masquerade behind the idea of skilled play whilst featuring some of the narrowest skill bands of any game out there.

While I was nattering on about it, Warface was busy beta testing itself with thousands of gamers in the Eastern regions of the world, but now that beta is set to come to an end today (5pm PDT to be exact) with plans to launch the full game very soon.

The actual gold release date has yet to be announced, but in the meantime you can try and get yourself accepted to the invite only social gaming platform, GFace, which is designed to bring gamers together from across multiple titles for hours of gaming together.

If early previews are anything to go by, Warface is shaping up to be a pretty solid title with a decent in-game monetary mechanic that doesn't break the game or your own personal bank. It also has all the upgrades and gear tweaks that people love and the ability to slide across the floor whilst plugging your enemy in the face. What's better than that?

Did any of you guys have a go during the beta? If so, what did you think?
