To set the record straght, EA published the game, and the developer is EA Pacific.And yes, Westwood does indeed "own" in the RTS genre, and Westwood did invent RTS. Dune II was the first RTS ever made...by none other than Westwood Studios.I'm not sure why so many of you talk trash about Westwood, but they are the founders of the RTS genre, and are **** good at it, IMO.

Perhaps Westwood does own Blizzard at RTS, and they did invent the genre. BUt, they didnt make this particular game. EA no longer owns Westwood, they went off on their own. EA Pacific made this game, and EA published it.

Im pretty sure EA Games made the game. Watch this trailer. No where on it is Westwood Studios mentioned. And at the end the "EA GAMES" logo comes up. EA PACIFIC made the game, not westwood.But then again, [url removed] does have a link to that generals site. So perhaps the site where i found this information was wrong or out of date.I guess we will have to wait until the game comes out to find out for sure. It just seems wierd that there is no mention of Westwood on the traiers.I do apologize if im wrong, but from the information i have read i do beleive that i am right!

EA bought out Westwood, now westwood is just a sub division of EA.

hey *** nuts to bad westwood is a division of ea games so anything that is made by westwood is esentially made by ea and who really gives a crap anyway!

So have you guys tried this game yet?I'm beta testing it online, and it's very impressive. If you've followed the previous C&C games, you'll notice it has similar gameplay, but there are a bunch of new and improved features. Maybe i'll write up a review and post it on the MG Forums ;)

It's their loss, but yes, you are correct DaProgrammer.Anyway, I agree, lets talk about the game itself :)Hmm, a couple of new cool units are the stealth fighter and the raptor. Both are pretty tough. They dont let you get too many tanks in the beta, but it's still pretty cool.

Well i havent played the game, so i cant really comment on that. But what i have read and seen im defintely getting it as soon as it is released.Im sorry about that whole owns it thing, but some ppl abused me about it, so i just had to prove once and for all that i was right, and that they are the morons who think they're right, but were really wrong!!!!!!!!
