good game

yeah... would be a better game if it was actually released now.....by the time they release it, it will be at the bottom of the chain..we'll see.

so how many cards will it take to run this one? 4? 8? I hope its not the excuse for poor programming/programming for the top cards only: "this game is made for technology that isn't even out yet"

Its the first game to use Dx10, so you need1) new vid card2) Windows VistaHopefuly the DX10 will take some load off from the CPU, Memory,ect.

Of course this game should be made for only the top gfx cards or cards that haven't been released. The current top cards still arent near enough to bring true visual brilliance yet. We are still very far away from cinema quality gaming, the current top high end pc's just cant handle it. I'm hoping this game is pushing the whole system over the edge. I've seen enough games nowadays and there all looking the same, hopefully this game will be a first of its kind... well just have to wait and see.

i think g80 will qualify. it runs on x360, will run on pc also

far away from cinema quality gaming? no way, anon23:20. graphically we are pretty much. but go and play games like MAFIA and you'll see that it isn't just graphics that makes a game "cinema quality".who would like to play cheesy b-movies with wonderful explsions but no story.

People seem to be forgetting how to enjoy games. Good graphics are great and add to a games immersion but graphics are not the only factor to making a great game.

person below me, u are wrong.Crysis won*t be Vista only, it will run on DX9 as well, und it will do this under XP, and afaik one x1900 schould be enough to run the game

If u actually goto the crysis website which has videos and screenshots, it has dx9 and dx10 videos and screenshots, so i would assume from that the game will work with both dx10 and dx 9, so i dont think you need just a dx10 graphics card to play this game

The fact that they had a running real time demo ages ago long before the Geforce 8800 was released should prove that it can run on DX9. morons.

No, you won't need a DX10 card to play Crysis!It will run on a DX9 card but some of the graphic features of the game will be missing.Americans in iraq big mistake!!!

Well, the game is looking great (graphically and gameplay wise). It will work on a broad range of PC's as not everyone has uber machines and Crytek will want people to be able to buy it and play it.
