It looks as if Rockstar has another "game of the year" on it hands. The shear hype surrounding this game will topple anything put out by the gamecube, which is pretty shocking considering the blockbusters coming out on gamecube in the coming months.

I don't see this getting GOTY honestly, sure its good, but it's coming out on a console that is horrible compared to it's competitor's specs. Also Sony has already started planning the release of the PoS3. When will this moronically planned and intellectually challenged company get it through its thick head that you need to PERFECT one system before going on to another ******, half-assed idea.Oh yeah, GTA Vice City will be cool, don't get me wrong. Rockstar is a good company, perhaps a little to intent on being rude, filthy and down right offensive, but they make solid games that are relatively glitch-free.Go Rock Star... go far, far away from the sinking stone (Sony) you currently have tied to your leg.

Sony Making PS3 Already, They havent even got the PS2 Online Yet!!!!PS2 IS suppost to be INSANE, Including allowing 2 million more polygons on screen. I Can see Sony making a Playstation 4 in the near future.

Justin, you obviously have no clue whats going on in the console world. Sony already has an excellent system on their hands with the ps2, sales figures alone prove that point. If you compare rockstars/sony's releationship to a sinking stone then you should get your head examined. If you haven't heard grand theft auto 3 was the best selling console game of 2001 and this game will probably sell just as well if not better. Yes sony is already planning the release of the ps3, but I wouldn't be shocked if nintendo or microsoft are already planning their next systems.The movie doesn't really give alot of info on gameplay but some additions to the game include1.Improved AI2.40 weapons, 120 vehicles (including helicopters and such)3.The city is 2-2 and half times the size of the city in gta3.4.Indoor areas, reworked character models, cleaner graphics, 9-10 hours of real music.5.And alot more little things like jumping from moving cars, car tires can be blown out, etc, etc.I wouldn't be surprised if GTA:Vice gets a port to the pc around winter or spring. I'm also guessing that there will be no multiplayer.

Vice city is gonna be awsome! and the reason why the so many rockstar games all come out on ps2 is because rockstar signed a 2 yr contract with sony! why do u people want multiplayer!? muiltyplayer for gta vice will suck!!! ur just gonna log in and get in the game online then ur gonna get killed. all the people do is kill you and you kill them! whats the point! if some one has a rocket launcher then hes gonna kill everyone. the gta series never had sucess with online gameplay so they took it off! its logical! u jack cars then someone destroys ur car? thats stupid. singleplayer is much better. but 2 player with a split screen or LAN is much better. its more fun. 4 players would be great. but thousands of player all in one place with guns? that suks!

Speaking of release titles, you may remember some "fabulous" PS2 release titles such as Evergrace(puke), Eternal Rings(puke puke), Smuggler's Run, and others that don't even deserve names. The only backer game-wise that sony has is its long-time friend, Square (who has really been trying to get back in good with Nintendo since the release of the GC), and Rockstar, who Sony had to pay to get to stick with them. Sony has proven to be a horrible first-party game maker (fantavision). Whereas, Microsft has certainly proved it's worth in this new frontier (Halo). Even Nintendo has kept their reputation as a great developer with their franchise favorites.Then, as far as online goes, Xbox has already released a ton of games and updates (via the harddrive, another Xbox only feature) that allow for online play. Sony still hasn't released ONE online game. Remeber the Dreamcast? That one came with online capabilites, a dial-up modem AND web browsing software.Well that about sums it up, Sony makes faulty hardware, speaks with forked tongue and makes horrible games. They don't even show one single FRICKEN OUNCE of concern for those who support them. So to all of you PS2 sony lapdogs, I leave you with one question:If they don't give a rat's **** about you, why do you care so much for them??

PSone aside, I might also add that 10%-15% of all PS2s are faulty to where the laser burns out in a matter of months of casual use. Aside from that, the company advertises and even flaunts the ability that you can sit it on its side in the vertical stand. This also causes the system to break over time and can even damage discs. Thirdly, after boasting their mighty proccessing speeds and textures over the dreamcast,(which were greatly exaggerated, PS2 can't even anti-alias like DC) they have now been completley over run by the XBox, which exceeds the PS2 by more than twice the value on EVERY spec, and still sells for the same price.Speaking of Sales, I am sure that Sony DOES currently have the highest recorded amt of sales, they were snide and nasty over the American release of the system, promising more systems than they actually delivered. Also the PS2 has been out a year longer than the XBox or GC. The XBox however had the three FASTEST million seller titles among the current consoles, Halo, DoA3 and Project Gotham Racing.

Yes those games suck but they were released almost two years ago, even longer ago in japan. The only first party game you could name for ps2 was fantavision which just shows your stupidity and ignorance. What about Twisted Metal, The Getaway, SOCOM:IS Navy Seals, Dark Cloud, Wild Arms 3, Sly Cooper, Wipeout - all sony only franchises. Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Microsoft have to buy out Bungie so as to get Halo Xbox exclusive, instead allowing it to be on pc where it belonged?As for online, sony does have games playable online - Twisted Metal Black and SOCOM are playable as of now which is something you can't say about xbox live right as of now.Sitting your ps2 vertical doesn't break it down, I don't know where you get your propaganda from. And contrary to popular belief, dreamcast is NOT more powerful than the ps2. Dreamcast had a built in hardware feature which would blur the image giving the sense of anti-aliasing whereas the anti-aliasing of the ps2 needs to be programed in. This was a problem with first-gen games out for ps2 because of time restrictions and programmers were still learning the code. The problem of anti-aliasing shouldn't be a problem anymore.Get your facts straight instead of shouting out your garbage. It all comes down to which system has better games and since you can barely name any games for the ps2 then you shouldn't even speak.

I really don't care if you flame me. a lot of you are idiots though. you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about, so you make up dumb crap. you're really making urself look stupid. First of all, Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3 for PS2 was released what, 6 months ago? and you could play it online at release. Putting the PS2 doesn't damage the system either Nostadumb-@$$. It only gives a higher chance of scratching the disc. And the only reason it does that is because the PS2 uses magnetism to grip the discs, and the since the regular CDs are thinner than the DVDs, it has a harder time holding on to them, and they slip around a bit, and sometimes get scratched on the innards of the PS2. Alright, on to the controversy, the X-Box is a more powerful system if you look at the specs, but the software on the X-Box is very faulty. In fact, a higher rate of X-Box's die out within 6 months compared to the PS2. You forget, the PS2 has been out a year. Over half of the total X-Box's that were in game stores for demos before release broke down within the first week. Second, most of the games made for X-Box were made by companies that were almost forced to create games for the doom-box because of being bought out by Microsoft. Anti-Aliasing has also been fixed. Like sloose said, the DC didn't have anti-aliasing. It only blurred between the 2 points, which created the effect of anti-aliasing. The PS2 doesn't have it built into the system's software. If you notice starting with I believe Tekken 4 and Virtua Fighter 4, They have figured out how to put anti-aliasing into the games themselves. Oh ya, and there's Frequency(the new one), SOCOM, Twisted Metal Black:Online, Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3, and over 4 other games already released that can take advantage of the Network Adapter. So please, if you don't know the facts straight from a respectable site or magazine, than shut the heck up, since you just sound plain stupid.

Volc, I agree with ytou, this is a silly debate and I feel stupid for having been a part of it. Also I do agree with you that both Rockstar and Bungie/Microsoft Shafted the PC with GTA3 and HaloAll in all I really don't care about specs of a system or PC, I jsut want fast fun easy and enjoyable gameplay, such as Counter-Strike
