You mean the new Counter Strike as in, Condition Zero? Condition Zero is a stand alone. And as far as I can tell from screen shots of Condition Zero, it doesn't use technology from Half Life 2. Plus the fact that its designed to run with the mod version of Counter Strike. Since CZ has no multiplayer itself, you can only play it multiplayer with people that have the mod version, or retail version of normal Counter Strike. Team Fortress 2 on the other hand, might run on the same technology as Half Life 2, since it has been just as shrouded in mystery as HL2 for just as long.

the 1st half-life told the story in real-time, which is the best way to tell the story. y the hell dont other games do the same thing instead of those gay cutscenes u cant ctrl?

Will there be an Opposing forces type of expansion? I liked that one the best. The game looks brilliant btw
