Project Gotham Racing 4 - Movie No. 1

At the X06 event in Barcelona, Microsoft and Bizarre Creations were pleased to announce that Project Gotham Racing 4 is in production exclusively for the Xbox 360 platform. The game is being developed by Bizarre Creations, veteran developers of the Project Gotham Racing series, with Microsoft as publishers.

We're not talking about gameplay specifics yet, although I can say that we've got plenty of tricks up our sleeve! The original Project Gotham Racing was a landmark title for the launch of the first Xbox, PGR2 extended the Xbox Live platform in a way which had never been seen before, and PGR3 set a new graphical and gameplay bar for other high-definition games to chase.

We're confident that PGR4 will live up to this hugely successful legacy, but you'll have to wait to see why we think that.

Martyn Chudley, Managing Director of Bizarre Creations, had this to say about the announcement: "As you can imagine at Bizarre we're thrilled to be continuing to grow the Gotham brand for Microsoft and Xbox 360, but this time around we will be really extending the boundaries of both Kudos and Racing, and pushing the game in all new and very exciting directions. Certainly, this will be a true PGR game, but definitely not as you have seen before."

PGR4 was announced at X06 with a special teaser trailer titled "Eclipse". The teaser features a Ferrari racing through a mystical dreamscape, with ethereal buildings and crowds cheering it on.
