You throw a stratagem ball onto a rooftop, and it slides right off the edge. The game only lets balls settle on walkable ground, so ledges and rocks send them rolling. The Stratagem Balls Stay Put mod removes that rule from 105 stratagems. As a result, the ball stays where it lands, and your call-in arrives where you aimed.
What Changes in Game

Stratagem Balls Stay Put: Holds the whole mod in a single 93KB archive that carries a replacement stratagem settings file.
105 Stratagems: Drop the walkable-ground-only rule, so support weapons, backpacks, sentries, emplacements, orbitals, Eagles, vehicles, and mission stratagems stay put.
Stock Everything Else: Cooldowns, payloads, and call-in times remain untouched, so balance stays the same.
No Loader Needed: The mod edits the stratagem settings file instead, so you need only a mod manager.
Safety Check: Refuses to write over an unfamiliar game file, so an update leaves it idle instead of causing damage.
Log File: Writes HD2FileMods.log in your game folder, so you can see what the mod did.

The Payoff
Cliffs and rooftops stop stealing your support weapons. Since nothing else about the stratagems changes, you give up no balance for the convenience. You simply stop chasing balls down hillsides.
Setting It Up

Download the mod to your PC and leave the archive zipped, since the mod manager reads the ZIP itself.
Siehe Helldivers 2 Mod Manager, extract it, and run it. Then open Settings and enter your Helldivers 2 game directory.
Add the ZIP to the manager. Leave both options ticked, since they start that way.
Deploy the mod.
Launch the game, wait for the main menu, and then exit normally, because the file swap happens on exit.
Launch the game again, and the mod is now active.
To uninstall, untick Stratagem Balls Stay Put, keep the uninstall helper ticked, and deploy. Then launch the game and exit normally, which puts the original file back.
If you removed the mod without doing that, open Steam Properties and choose Installed Files. Then verify the integrity of your game files.

Gut zu wissen

The mod targets the October 29 update, version 7.2.2, so after a game update it changes nothing until the mod receives an update.
It works in solo play and in multiplayer.
It runs alongside Consistent Vaulting, since both share the same installer, so tick both.
However, it clashes with any mod that replaces the game’s boot script or the stratagem settings file.
