7 Days to Die V3 – Pickupable Camping Lanterns (Lantern Pickup) Mod v0.1.0

                    
In vanilla 7 Days to Die, POI lanterns are stuck in place, so you must scrap them and craft your own if you want portable light. The Lantern Pickup mod lets you pick up world camping lanterns and old lanterns directly and reuse them as normal placeable light blocks. This way, every working lantern you find becomes a ready-made light source for your base instead of wasted scrap.
Qué incluye

POI camping lanterns can be picked up directly in the world.
POI old lanterns can also be picked up directly.
Picked-up camping lanterns convert into the standard player-placeable Lantern item.
Picked-up old lanterns convert into the standard player-placeable Old Lantern item.
The usual pickup prompt is added to lantern light blocks so interaction feels native.
Pickup works even if a lantern has taken damage during testing or gameplay.

Por qué necesitas este mod
This mod is useful if you like building cozy or realistic bases and want to reuse the lanterns you discover in POIs. It reduces crafting overhead, saves resources, and rewards exploration by turning world lights into lootable decorations. In addition, it keeps behavior consistent: if you can see a working lantern, you can now take it home and place it wherever you like.
Cómo empezar

Download the latest LanternPickup-*.zip release from the Nexus Files tab.
Extract the archive to a temporary folder on your PC.
Copie el 1A-LanternPickup folder into your 7 Days to Die Mods directory:
7 Days To Die\Mods\1A-LanternPickup\

Verify that the mod is installed correctly by checking for:
7 Days To Die\Mods\1A-LanternPickup\ModInfo.xml

Disable Easy Anti-Cheat when launching the game, because this mod uses Harmony patches and is marked SkipWithAntiCheat.
Start the game and load into a world that uses the V3.0 branch.
Find a POI camping lantern or old lantern and look at it; you should see the normal pickup prompt and be able to add it to your inventory.

Multijugador

Install the mod on the server and on every client that connects.
The pickup prompt runs on the client, while the actual pickup action is handled by LanternPickup.dll on both sides.

Compatibilidad

This mod patches blocks.xml for:

lanternDecorLightWhite — the base block for POI camping lantern color variants.
lanternOld_01 — the base block for POI old lantern variants.


It may conflict with other mods that change pickup behavior for the same blocks or modify BlockLight activation.
