Crimson Moon comes from developer and publisher ProbablyMonsters. The game released on September 1, 2026, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Players control a Nephilim, a half-human, half-angel warrior sworn to protect humanity. The goal is to retake the fallen city of Gildenarch from the Infernal Legion.

Crimson Moon is a gothic action RPG built around replayable missions instead of one connected world. Players launch short incursions from a central church that serves as their home base. Between runs, they upgrade gear, talk to NPCs, and plan the next mission at a war table.

Combat is melee-focused, with light and heavy attacks, dodges, and celestial transformations. Bosses called the Dead Gods anchor the biggest fights. Furthermore, difficulty modifiers let players take on greater risk for greater rewards. A second player can join online for the full game, and boss music comes from several metal artists.

Reception has been mixed. Critics scored it a little warmer than players, and early Steam reviews leaned mixed. Players also reported a keybinding problem at launch, which the developer promised to fix.
