Find The Needle

Find The Needle comes from developer and publisher Needless Games. The game launches in Early Access on November 6, 2026 for PC. Players find themselves in a strange warehouse, facing a haystack of about six million strands. Because the doors will not open, the only instruction is to find the needles.

Find The Needle is a first person factory game about digging through hay. First, players start by hand with a metal detector and basic tools such as shovels, buckets, and pitchforks. Then they sell the hay and buy machines, so the work slowly shifts from digging to automation. Meanwhile, belts, balers, scanners, and robotic arms take over the search. As a result, the player’s role changes from digger to factory planner.

Hay also becomes useful products, because pulp, compressed bales, eco bricks, and paper all sell well. Additionally, five stages of production lead from hay bales up to bioplastic and carbon fibre. However, the goal never changes, since 24 needles wait somewhere in the pile. The Early Access version will already run from the first handful of hay to the ending.

Factory Building: First, players place real machines, wire the power, and feed them by belt. Additionally, conveyors, pipes, scanners, and blueprints expand what each factory can do.
Huge Tech Tree: More than 300 upgrades unlock new machines and faster production. As a result, each upgrade changes how the whole factory runs, so planning pays off.
Piles of Different Size: Because piles vary, a Standard one takes around 7 to 10 hours. However, the Mountain pile takes 30 hours or more, so long sessions have room to grow.
Early Access Plans: The developers expect 6 to 12 months in Early Access. Furthermore, player feedback will guide balance changes, new machines, more diggers, and bigger late game projects.
