The vanilla Shotgun Coat cuts off short and never quite matches the rugged, weathered look Arthur or John should have riding through the frontier. Long Shotgun Coats redesigns that coat with a significantly longer silhouette while keeping its original vanilla style intact. It ships through LML, so the whole change drops straight into your existing load order without touching core game files. As a result, both playable characters get a coat that finally matches the scale of the world around them.

Extended Shotgun Coat Silhouette: Lengthens the original Shotgun Coat significantly while preserving its vanilla design and color options.
Natural Cloth Physics: Adds smooth cloth movement while walking, riding, or running, with no leg clipping during normal animations.
Satchel-Free Compatibility: Adjusts the coat to sit naturally when paired with mods that hide the satchel or other gear.
Three Leather Coat Variants: Replaces the Legend of the East coat with one variant, and swaps the Hunter Jackets with Black Leather and Dark Brown Leather versions, including an optional patch for players without the Ultimate Edition.
New Black Wool Variant: Adds a new Black Wool option at every tailor, replacing the last color slot on the original Shotgun Coat.
Redesigned Wool Textures: Reworks every wool texture to cut down on unwanted light reflections, giving the fabric a richer, more natural look.

A short coat breaks the silhouette players expect from a rugged outlaw riding the plains. Additionally, clipping and stiff cloth movement pull attention away from an otherwise detailed character model. This mod fixes both problems directly. Therefore, the coat moves naturally and reads as part of the character instead of a flat, static texture.
Wie man anfängt

Download the mod and extract the archive to your PC.
Drag and drop the contents of LONGSHOTGUNCOATS.ZIP into your LML folder.
If you want to keep the original Hunter Jackets, the vanilla Legend of the East coat, or the previous wool appearance, selectively remove the matching files as described in ReadmeLSC.txt.
Launch the game and check any tailor or the Legend of the East and Hunter Jacket slots to confirm the new coats appear.
To uninstall, remove the mod’s files from your LML folder.

Good to Know
For the best results, place Long Shotgun Coats at the very bottom of your LML load order. If you also run Three Quarters Coats, load Long Shotgun Coats after it to avoid conflicts. However, this mod hasn’t been tested against every clothing mod available, so unexpected visual clashes with other coat or gear mods are still possible.
