CryENGINE 2 será el motor del nuevo juego de Crytek

With Crysis nearing completion, Crytek thinks that it is time to start working on their own original games.

The new game is still a top secret, but we know that it will be an original intellectual property and that it will be created by Crytek's recently-opened Kiev studio which Crytek MD Faruk Yerli praised: "Our Kiev studio has been recruiting and growing for the past year and a half. The highly talented team that has undergone an intensive training period, and in that time they have made an invaluable contribution to our production in Frankfurt"

Crytek's comments regarding CryENGINE 2 might give some clues about the new game. According to Crytek, "CryENGINE 2 middleware has reached the point of maturity where it can be used to support both different types and styles of games, and run on multiple platforms" . Does that mean that the new Crytek game won't be an FPS? We'll let you know as soon as any new info arises.
