No UMD To Digital Download Conversion For PSP Upgraders

When Sony first announced the PSPgo, the company said that they are considering the option to allow PSP owners to convert their existing UMD collections to digital format.

Turns out, this won't happen after all.

"We were evaluating a UMD conversion program, but due to legal and technical reasons we will not be offering the program at this time," a Sony Computer Entertainment of America spokesman said.

Instead, PSP owners who upgrade to PSPgo will get 3 free downloads from a list of 17 titles including LocoRoco, Patapon and Wipeout.
