Gothic 1 Remake’s default swimming speed is slow enough to make water traversal feel more like a chore than part of the world. The Born to Swim mod increases both swimming and diving speed, defaulting to roughly three times the vanilla rate. Furthermore, it includes flexible configuration options so you can tune the speed and maneuverability independently. Consequently, moving through water feels more fluid and keeps the pacing of exploration consistent with movement on land.

Configurable swim speed and water maneuverability values.

This mod is useful if you find that swimming sections slow the game down to an uncomfortable crawl. It also makes underwater exploration feel more viable rather than something to avoid entirely. Additionally, the configuration file gives you room to find a speed that feels natural without going too far in either direction.
Wie man anfängt

Download the mod archive and extract it to your PC.
Installieren Sie UE4SS for Gothic 1 Remake if you have not already.
Copy the mod folder into your UE4SS Mods directory:
...\Gothic 1 Remake\G1R\Binaries\Win64\ue4ss\Mods\

Launch the game. The increased swim speed applies automatically.
To adjust the values, open the config file inside the mod folder and restart the game after saving.
To uninstall, delete the mod folder from the Mods directory.
