Gothic 1 Remake runs on Unreal Engine 5 and can suffer from stutters, high input latency, and visual noise from settings like chromatic aberration and film grain that are not easily tuned in-game. The Ultimative Engine-Tweaks mod replaces the game’s Engine.ini with a custom version optimized across CPU, GPU, RAM, and SSD to reduce stutters, improve performance, and lower input latency. Furthermore, it also improves visual clarity by optimizing DLSS and FSR upscaling, anti-aliasing, and motion blur without introducing any visual loss or crashes. Consequently, the game runs cleaner out of the box with no separate tools required.

VRR vs No VRR: Which to Choose
VRR stands for Variable Refresh Rate. If you have G-Sync (NVIDIA) or FreeSync (AMD) enabled both in your GPU control panel and on your monitor or TV, download the VRR variant. If either setting is off or unavailable on your display, use the Kein VRR variant instead. The author also recommends setting the in-game Sharpness slider to 0 after installing either version, though this is optional.

Launch Gothic 1 Remake at least once and close it, so the config folder is created.
Download the variant that matches your display setup and extract it to your PC.
Presse Gewinn + R, paste this path, and press Enter:
