Paid micro transactions are the bread and butter for free MMO games, but is it acceptable to introduce them to a subscription based game such as World Of WarCraft? Blizzard thinks so.

During a BlizzCon press conference, World of WarCraft production director J. Allen Brack was asked about a "Paid Character Customizations" button that was found in Wrath of the Lich King beta's data files.

Brack tried to shake off the question first, but then answered and confirmed that World of WarCraft would eventually incorporate some form of paid character customization and that they are still working on its details.
