Gears of War: E-Day runs on Unreal Engine 5, so stutter and frame drops hit modest PCs hard. The Gears E-day Optimizer mod fixes that with drop-in .pak profiles for different hardware tiers. Each profile tunes asset loading and shader compilation for its own GPU class. As a result, you can match a profile to your graphics card and resolution without editing any config by hand.

Gears E Day Optimizer Minimum: Targets 1080p at 60 FPS on Medium settings. It suits an RTX 2060 or RX 6600 with 12GB RAM.
Gears E Day Optimizer Recommended: Targets 1440p at 60+ FPS on High settings. It suits an RTX 3060 Ti or RX 6700 XT with 16GB RAM.
Gears E Day Optimizer Ultra: Targets 4K at 60+ FPS on Ultra settings. It suits an RTX 5070 Ti or RX 7900 XT with 16GB+ RAM.
Gears E Day Optimizer Low: Targets 720p to 1080p on ultra performance settings, so older cards like the GTX 1060, GTX 1650, and RX 570/580 keep up. It also suits handhelds such as the Steam Deck and ROG Ally.
Gears E Day Optimizer By Ultra RT: Keeps Hardware Ray Tracing (DXR), Lumen HWRT, and RT Reflections active at maximum quality, while the other profiles remove heavy DXR.
Stutter Reduction: Optimizes asynchronous asset loading and shader pipeline compilation in every profile, so frame pacing improves.
VRAM Budgeting: Sets dedicated texture streaming pools for 6GB, 8GB, and 12GB+ GPUs, so each card uses its memory well.

Stutter is the main problem in Unreal Engine 5 games, so this mod targets it directly. However, every profile except Ultra RT removes Hardware Ray Tracing to gain speed. Since each profile is a separate file, you can swap to another one whenever your hardware changes.
Cómo empezar
