At the Main Menu press Z Up Right Down Left Z LEft Down Right Up Z. If done correctly a Cool option will appear. Highlight Cool and press A. Start gameplay and select Continue then press A on the next screen. Display the Pirate Level screen and press Right.

Enable Level Select. Then during gameplay press Start and press B. The current level can't be completed with this code enabled.
