Deep Rock Galactic: Rogue Core

Ghost Ship Games developed Deep Rock Galactic: Rogue Core. Ghost Ship Publishing and Coffee Stain Publishing co-published the game. It launched in Steam Early Access on May 20, 2026 for PC. The game is a co-op FPS roguelite spinoff of the original Deep Rock Galactic. You play as elite dwarven Reclaimers fighting through procedurally generated mining facilities.

Rogue Core keeps the dwarf-versus-alien spirit of Deep Rock Galactic and adds a roguelite structure on top. You enter infested mining facilities, fight through waves of Core Spawn, and push as deep as you can before dying or escaping. Furthermore, runs are procedurally generated, so no two playthroughs feel identical. Each attempt rewards you with unlocks that carry forward into future runs.

The game supports 1 to 4 players in co-op. You can play solo or bring a full squad of Reclaimers. Additionally, the cave systems and enemy layouts shift each time you enter. That procedural variety is central to the game’s long-term appeal.

Co-Op Roguelite Structure

Up to four players fight through facilities together with roguelite run progression. Each run escalates in difficulty the further you go. Furthermore, the roguelite twist separates it clearly from the original Deep Rock Galactic’s mission-based format.

The Core Spawn are a distinct faction unique to Rogue Core. They fill the facilities and scale in intensity as you progress. Moreover, their design fits the game’s deeper, more oppressive atmosphere compared to the original game’s surface-level bug hunts.

Sci-Fi Dwarven Identity

The game keeps the beloved sci-fi dwarf aesthetic of Deep Rock Galactic. Rock and Stone culture carries over into the new format. Furthermore, that familiar identity gives Rogue Core an instant connection to the existing fanbase while standing apart as its own experience.
