Blizzard Aiming To Release Starcraft 2 This Year

In a live interview from the world's largest computer festival DreamHack, Blizzard's lead designer Chris Sigaty answered the eternal question about the Starcraft 2 release date, revealing that they're aiming for this year. This is the first real statement regarding the release of Starcraft 2 since Blizzard announced the title in Seoul 2007.

Blizzard also answered questions about the soundtrack, giving away that it will be performed by a full-scale epic orchestra, and about both the campaign and multiplayer portions of Starcraft 2.
