Ubisoft Blames AMD For Assassin’s Creed: Unity PC Problems
It is no longer a secret that Assassinâs Creed: Unity is one of the buggiest games of the generation. Ubisoft has already acknowledged the problem and started a live blog tracking the fixing progress, but now it is blaming AMD for the shortcomings of the PC version.
âWe are aware that the graphics performance of Assassinâs Creed Unity on PC may be adversely affected by certain AMD CPU and GPU configurations,â reads a on Ubisoft official forums. âThis should not affect the vast majority of PC players, but rest assured that AMD and Ubisoft are continuing to work together closely to resolve the issue, and will provide more information as soon as it is available.â
Ubisoftâs statement is a little hard to swallow. For one, Assassinâs Creed: Unityâs frame rate is not smooth on NVidiaâs cards short of GTX 970 or 980. That, and weâve yet to see a player who played the game for a couple of hours without noticing graphics and animation glitches and performance hiccups.
