He is Coming is a roguelite auto-battler that hides deep strategic depth behind a deceptively simple retro aesthetic. Released into Early Access on July 17, 2025, by developer Chronocle and strategy specialist publisher Hooded Horse, it tasks players with preparing for the arrival of the “Demon King.” Unlike the ominous title which might suggest a horror game, this is a cerebral game of inventory management and stat optimization, where your survival depends on how well you can equip your hero before the inevitable boss fight.

The March of Time: The game takes place on a procedural 2D map. Every step you take advances the in-game clock. During the day, you are relatively safe to explore shops and find loot. At night, monsters actively hunt you down. This creates a constant “press your luck” tension: do you detour for a treasure chest and risk fighting in the dark, or rush to the boss before you are ready?
The Holy Trinity of Stats: Combat is fully automated and determined by three core stats: Ataque (damage), Armadura (damage reduction), and Velocidad (initiative). Identical items can often be combined to create upgraded versions, rewarding players who plan ahead and hoard specific loot.
Progresión Roguelita: Runs are short and lethal. When you die, you lose your gear, but you unlock meta-progression upgrades that expand your item pool, increase your starting stats, or unlock new character archetypes for future attempts.
