Moadra

Moadra comes from Finnish studio Gloomsoft, which developed and published the game itself. It released on October 22, 2026 for PC through Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. Players take the role of Lieutenant Moadra Meras, a soldier of the Neera unit. Their first task is to investigate an expedition that went silent on the forgotten planet Protea VI.

Sobre el juego

Moadra is a 2D science-fiction Metroidvania built around one large, interconnected world. First, players cross the sandy plains, icy peaks, underground lakes, and abandoned research facilities of Protea VI. Each region hides hostile creatures, so every new area demands careful movement and quick reactions. Still, countless secrets sit off the main route. As a result, curious players find hidden paths that others miss. Combat favors ranged weapons and speed, but boss fights test every tool in the player’s kit.

Defeating creatures also leaves behind Protoplasm, a lump of energy-packed biomass. Players absorb it inside organic chambers, and then the character evolves. Puzzles also break up the action, because many routes depend on reading the environment. Together, exploration, combat, and evolution form a steady loop of risk and reward.

Non-Linear Exploration: The world opens up without a fixed order, so players set their own pace. Meanwhile, the grim mysteries of Protea VI surface piece by piece.
Agile Movement: Moadra can roll, dodge, leap, wall jump, and sprint, so players keep moving under pressure. These moves help players evade deadly organisms and hazardous elements, especially during fast fights.
Scanner Bot and X-Ray Vision: The scanner bot also examines creatures and surroundings more closely. Additionally, it reveals hidden paths and secret areas, then maps the places already explored.
Protoplasm Evolution: Metamorphosis then upgrades both abilities and weapons. Because later threats range from low-level creatures to gargantuan monsters, every upgrade matters.
