Developed and published by Mega Crit, Slay the Spire 2 finally launched into PC Early Access on March 5, 2026. This highly anticipated sequel to the 2019 masterpiece does not attempt to reinvent the wheel. Instead, it takes the brilliant foundation of the original roguelike deckbuilder and refines it with an avalanche of new content, cleaner visuals, and a massive new multiplayer mode. Familiar Ascensions: The foundational loop remains untouched. You select a character, climb a branching map, and draft cards to build a specialized deck. However, the sheer volume of new relics, potions, and bizarre random events forces even seasoned veterans to completely rethink their established strategies.
New and Returning Slayers: The game features a mix of classic heroes, like the poison-wielding Silent, alongside entirely new classes. These new additions bring radically different mechanical themes that seamlessly blend with the established design philosophy. Official Co-Op: The most massive addition to this sequel is a native, four-player cooperative mode.
