Namco Bandai Shifting Their Focus To Western Themed Titles

Sales of Japanese-flavored games have been declining steadily over the last few years, and that's why Japanese game developers and publishers are working hard to create western-themed titles.

"We truly [want to] globalize the development of Western-focused games," Namco Bandai director of PR and marketing Todd Thorson said. "It happens on two levels."

"Not only are the guys in Japan developing things there that are so well known and have a fantastic track record, they're really shifting their focus to a worldwide audience, making sure the products they make appeal globally."

Namco Bandai officially formed Namco Bandai Holdings U.S.A. following the merger of Namco and Bandai in 2005.
