Automatic Escape from Battle:

Use the following trick when you are about to lose in battle. Exit the game and return to the home screen of your device and tap the Final Fantasy icon to start the game again. Then if you tap ‘Resume’ at the ‘Main’ menu you will be at the same place you were before you started the battle and still have ALL the items and health you previously had at that point.
