Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse

Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse comes from developers Konami and Evil Empire, with Motion Twin in an advisory role, and publisher Konami. The game released on October 15, 2026 for PC through Steam and the Microsoft Store, as well as for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. A Nintendo Switch version follows later in 2026. The story takes place in Paris in 1499, 23 years after Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse.

Belmont’s Curse is a 2D action-exploration game that celebrates the series’ 40th anniversary. First, Paris burns as monstrous creatures emerge from the shadows. Then Trevor Belmont, the hero who defeated Dracula, ventures into the streets with his daughter, Rose. Armed with the Vampire Killer, they hunt the beasts bleeding from a looming castle. Meanwhile, Rose gets swept up in a dark conspiracy that lurks beneath the city.

Players control Rose and rely on the series’ iconic whip action. Additionally, maps mix new features with familiar elements inspired by classic Castlevania games. Gothic visuals give the stages a refined, vivid look, so the atmosphere stays true to the franchise. Notably, legendary bosses such as Medusa and Carmilla return. Because the studios behind Dead Cells shaped the game, combat aims to feel fast and satisfying.
