Crimson Desert Patch 1.02.00: Pearl Abyss Delivers Another Week of Fan Requests

Date de sortie : April 4, 2026  |  Développeur : Pearl Abyss  |  Plateformes : PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox

Just one week after a major update, Pearl Abyss has pushed out another one for Crimson Desert. Patch 1.02.00 tackles three of the most-requested features since launch, adds new content, and ships a long list of bug fixes across quests, controls, UI, and graphics. If you dropped off after launch, this might be the patch that brings you back.

The Big Three: What Most Players Actually Wanted

Hide Your Helmet

Since day one, players have asked for a way to hide Cliff’s headgear without ruining their look. It’s finally here. You now have four options: Always Show, Show in Combat, Hide in Cutscenes, et Always Hide. Find it under Settings → Language and Gameplay → Headgear Visibility.

Storage Expanded to 1,000 Slots

The private storage chest in your camp has been massively expanded. You start with 240 slots. Each of the first four camp upgrade stages adds 100 more. The final upgrade adds a bonus 360 — bringing the maximum to 1,000 total. Late-game players who were drowning in resources will feel this immediately.

Classic Movement Controls Are Back

A previous patch introduced a new control scheme for Cliff and his horse that reduced button mashing. Many players preferred the original layout they had already learned. Both options now exist side by side. Go to Settings → Input → Movement Controls and choose Classique to restore the launch-day feel, or keep Basic for the newer hold-to-sprint style.

Other Notable Additions

  • New cat armor set — one new armor set and matching helmet added for cats.
  • New Abyss Nexus in Pailune — a new fast travel anchor point added to the Pailune region.
  • Abyss Nexus now usable while moving slightly — no more coming to a complete stop to fast travel, except while mounted or using Flight.
  • Explosive barrels now glow more visibly — they light up clearly when using the Light Reflection skill or your lantern.

Most Impactful Bug Fixes

  • Chapter 6 progression fix — a save/load sequence after a boss fight could permanently block quest progress. Now resolved.
  • Chapter 11 key item disappearing — the Inserted Key could vanish from your bag, making the quest impossible to complete. Fixed.
  • “A Rumor Fueled by Greed” quest — selling a related item before starting the quest locked progression entirely. Fixed.
  • Combat mission comrades — allies would not return after early mission completion. Fixed.
  • Abyss puzzle state resetting — checking map details while inside the Abyss would reset your puzzle progress. Fixed.
  • Character invisibility in Abyss — collecting an Abyss Artifact before the cutscene played could make your character invisible. Fixed.
  • Horse sprint exploit — repeatedly tapping the sprint key allowed horses to exceed their stat cap. Fixed.
  • Skill reset bug — Healing Force Palm and Aerial Force Palm were incorrectly reset when using the reset-all-skills function. Fixed.
  • Bank investment timer stuck — the Refreshing state was not updating properly. Fixed.
  • Xbox Series X — 4K upscaling option added to Performance Mode.

What Is Coming Next

Pearl Abyss confirmed in the patch notes that the next update is already in development. The headline feature: a toggle to hide weapons on Cliff’s back. They also plan to expand Abyss Nexus fast travel so it works while riding certain mounts. No date has been announced, but given the current weekly cadence, another update should arrive soon.

Bottom Line

Pearl Abyss is treating Crimson Desert like a live service game from day one — listening to the community and shipping targeted fixes weekly. The three headline features in Patch 1.02.00 were among the most requested since launch. For players who bounced off the controls or ran out of storage space, the barriers are now gone. The game launched rough. A few weeks later, it looks very different.
