Dragon Age Day propose un créateur de personnage Veilguard autonome et un nouveau patch

Yesterday, BioWare released a new patch for Dragon Age : La garde du voile, just in time for Dragon Age Day — which is apparently now A Thing. Included in the patch were all the usual bugfixes and changes, but also included was the ability to download a standalone character creator for Veilguard, which can then be used in the game itself.

A separate character creator isn’t new for the gaming scene, but it’s something we see uncommonly enough that a new one tends to get highlighted. Downloadable from wherever you can buy Veilguard from, the character creator is just lifted wholesale from Dragon Age: The Veilguard itself, which means you can dive into the creator without needing to buy the game, and then upload your character into the game if you do take the plunge. Quite why you’d choose to do it that way is a question best not answered, perhaps BioWare is hoping that the sheer beauty (or horror) of the Rook you create will be enough to tempt you into buying the game. Maybe they’re right. All we know is it’s a 14GB download, which is almost as large as Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition, so frankly, it seems like a waste of bits. Still, a lot of people are really into creating characters, and BioWare really knows their audience.

Oh yeah, there’s a patch too. The big addition here is Hawke’s equipment from Dragon Age 2, including his ever-so-moody eye shadow. Frankly, the fan service here is off the charts. Also included are all the usual changes and bug fixes, which should help to smooth out the RPG a little bit.

If you were hoping to celebrate Dragon Age Day, by the way, you’re too late. Dragon Age Day is, apparently, on December 4, because “D4” looks a bit like “DA”. Yeah, it’s not as clever as Mario Day being on March 10 (Mar10), but hey, apparently everyone is allowed their own special day now, so it might as well be December 4.
