Les micro-transactions arrivent dans Destiny cette semaine
Bungie will introduce micro transactions to Destiny on October 13th, but the studio promises that it wonât offer any pay-to-win options.
The first items to go on sale will be 18 new emotes available at vendor Tess Everis. Those items â and upcoming paid items â will be purchasable only using the silver in-game currency which will be introduced alongside the micro transactions update.
âIf youâre not interested in what Tess has to offer, you wonât ever be forced to pluck an item off of her shelf. Youâll still receive updates to the game, and you wonât lose a Crucible encounter or fail to clear a Raid because you didnât have the right Eververse Trading Company emote equipped,â said community manager David âDeejâ Dague.
âOur plan is to use these new items to bolster the service provided by our live team for another full year, as they grow and create more robust and engaging events that weâll announce later this year. It has been, and continues to be, our goal to deliver updates to the game. Going forward, our live team is also looking to grow beyond vital updates and improvements to focus on world events, experiences, and feature requests.â
Bungie will also hand out free silver to mark the launch.
