Ubisoft s'attend à ce qu'Assassin's Creed 4 se vende moins bien que son prédécesseur
During an investor conference call, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot revealed that they donât expect Assassinâs Creed 4 to outsell its predecessor.
âTo come back to Assassinâs Creed 4, in our numbers we have⊠we expect less than last year,â a-t-il dĂ©clarĂ©.
But that doesnât mean that the game doesnât surpass its predecessors. In fact, Ubisoft is deliberately being cautious in its estimates. âWe are actually pushing to achieve more than last year because we think the pirate segment is a great segment that can generate a lot more on a worldwide basis than what was achieved last year,â explained Guillemot.
âBut we wanted to be prudent on our expectations so that it can probably be a bonus if it comes,â a-t-il ajoutĂ©.
During the same conference call Ubisoft revealed that Assassinâs Creed 3 has shipped 12.5 million units to retail and that Far Cry 3 has surpassed initial expectation by shipping 6 million units.
All in all, Ubisoft racked ÂŁ1.05 billion during the fiscal year that ended in April 2013.
