Saying that "Is this… the end?" is a modern version of Galaga, means that it maintains the original's set-up (the player controls a ship at the bottom of the screen and the aliens attack from above), but it adds some new (or not so new features), like:
Various power-ups (and power-downs as well)

Scrolling

Lighting effects

Various particle explosions

Varying enemies which get smarter as the player advances

… and more, as nothing is fixed yet

OK, it may not be earth-shaking, but it could result in a fun little game. After all, fun is what it is all about.
