Chained Backrooms turns liminal horror into a teamwork stress test. You wake in yellow halls that never end, shackled to other survivors by a short, unforgiving chain. Every corner threatens a snag. Every sprint risks a pull. Panic isn’t an option—coordination is.

How it plays

The rules are simple and cruel. Levels sprawl procedurally with dead ends, vents, and office‑block sameness. Entities patrol by sound and sight. Light is a mixed blessing—flashlights reveal paths but broadcast position. The chain forces spacing, pacing, and shared stamina management. One player gambles a peek; the others anchor and watch lines. Puzzles gate exits behind codes, symbols, and environmental tells. Pieces make sense when the team talks. They don’t when fear takes over.

The loop escalates cleanly. Early floors teach noise discipline and line‑of‑sight breaks. Mid tiers add tight ducts, crawl spaces, and choke‑point resets. Late levels layer multiple threats: fast predators, bait behaviors, and cross‑aggro patterns that punish hero runs. Death isn’t random. It’s usually a misread or a teammate’s bad turn. Own the mistake. Get better. Go again.
