Ravenfield es divertid铆simo, pero promete mucho

Ravenfield is a bizarre mix of Ultimate Epic Battle Simulator and Battlefield. It blends deeply customisable NPC battles with actual first person shooter gameplay on wide, open maps with poor graphics. It鈥檚 only been on Steam for a short while, but has already drummed up a lot of interest from gamers. Despite looking terrible it鈥檚 received more than 90 percent positive reviews, so what is this game all about?

It鈥檚 a cartoony, single player take on a multiplayer shooter and as the god of the world, as well as a player in it, you can spawn as many AI soldiers as your PC can handle. There are vehicles, explosives, rifles, pistols and bases to capture. They all look poor, but that鈥檚 part of the cartoony charm of the game. It鈥檚 almost being made by one man, so is an ambitious project, despite having been in development for quite some time already.

That said, it鈥檚 an extremely buggy experience. As the Kotaku presenter shows in the above video, sometimes your guns don鈥檛 fire, sometimes you get stuck in buildings or the floor and the AI can鈥檛 do much at all but slam vehicles into each other and occasionally hit one another with their guns, but the overall experience is still quite impressive.

The game can support hundreds of soldiers at once and that makes the game feel rather epic, despite how janky it is.

You can buy Ravenfield on Steam now for $12, though remember it鈥檚 still very early in development.
