ACE COMBAT 8: WINGS OF THEVE comes from developer Bandai Namco Aces and publisher Bandai Namco Entertainment. The game released on October 1, 2026 for PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. It is the first mainline ACE COMBAT entry in seven years, and players take flight as an elite pilot.

ACE COMBAT 8 is an arcade-style flight action game, so fast dogfights drive every mission. First, players take off, eliminate threats, and push through gripping missions. Then powerful weapons let them dominate the battlefield, so every sortie feels fast and forceful. Meanwhile, wingmen such as Baxter call out bandits during the fight. Between missions, players also bond with squad members and rise to meet adversity.
First, the story unfolds in Strangereal, the fictional world used across the series. Besides the campaign, an online mode supports up to eight players. Additionally, the game contains no paid loot boxes. Overall, the focus stays on quick, readable air combat instead of detailed flight simulation.

Story Campaign: First, a Prologue and 30 missions drive the story forward. Therefore, the campaign offers a long run of varied sorties.
Giant Weapon Battles: Some fights also target enormous weapons that only exist in Strangereal. As a result, these set pieces stand apart from standard dogfights.
