Released on 20 novembre 2025, for PC, PS5 (PSVR2), and Meta Quest, it offers a “DM-less” campaign experience that focuses on tactical combat rather than roleplay. It simplifies the complex rules of 5th Edition into a card-based system that feels intuitive in VR, though hardcore D&D purists might find it too streamlined.
Dice, Decks, and D20s: Core Gameplay

Demeo with a D&D Skin: At its core, the gameplay is pure Demeo: you move miniature figures across a virtual grid, playing cards to cast spells or attack. However, it introduces key D&D elements like Skill Checks. When exploring, you roll a D20 to deceive guards or unlock secrets. These checks are simplified—often forcing a random character to take the roll regardless of their stats—but add a layer of narrative flavor.
Class Identity: You choose from iconic D&D classes like the Paladin (Tank/Smite), Sorcerer (AoE Magic), and Bard (Support). Each class has a distinct deck of cards representing their abilities (e.g., Fireball, Bardic Inspiration). The combat emphasizes synergy; a Paladin might tank a hit to let the Rogue flank for sneak attack damage.
Campaign Structure: The game launched with two campaigns, including “Crown of Frost.” Each campaign takes about 5-6 hours to complete, offering a more structured narrative than the randomized dungeons of the original Demeo. The story is delivered through fully voiced NPCs and environmental storytelling, a significant upgrade from its predecessor.
