Dressmaker comes from developer Cozy Lives and publisher Free Lives. The game released on September 21, 2026 for PC via Steam on Windows and Mac. Players then run a small tailor shop and make every dress by hand, from the first sketch to the last stitch.

Dressmaker is a cozy crafting game inspired by real dressmaking. First, players choose fabric and sketch a design in their sketchbook. Then they arrange and cut out the pattern pieces, so the layout on the cloth decides how the final dress looks. Next, they feed the fabric through a sewing machine to stitch the garment together. Finally, buttons, bows, appliqué, and lace trims finish the look.

Townsfolk visit the shop with orders for important events and their own tastes. Delivering a dress earns both reputation and coin, but players can also sabotage a customer on purpose. Meanwhile, finished designs can sit in the shop window, so players can sell them off the rack. Additionally, a shop cat waits to be petted. Overall, the game keeps a relaxed pace.

Caractéristiques principales

Tactile Pattern Cutting: Patterns can follow the grain or sit on the bias. As a result, the way players place each piece on the fabric shows up on the finished dress. Each panel of a garment can also use a different fabric.
A Real Sewing Machine: Players feed the fabric through the machine to stitch it together. Furthermore, the bobbin never runs out, so sewing stays smooth. A mannequin preview shows the pieces before the final stitch.
