Gunman Contracts – Stand Alone comes from solo developer ANB_Seth and publisher 2080 Games. The game entered Steam Early Access on September 10, 2026, for PC. It turns the popular Half-Life: Alyx mod series into a standalone shooter that plays in VR or on a flat screen. Players step into the role of a professional hitman fighting a ruthless crime syndicate.

The game is an action-movie shooter in the style of John Wick. Players take on contracts against the Collectors, a syndicate that kills and kidnaps innocents. Early Access launches with three story contracts, replayable score-based modes, and a training hub called the Gunman’s Base.

Between missions, players return to the base to pick, customize, and test their weapons. Furthermore, a shooting range and combat arena let them practice before the next job. The game is built from scratch in Unity, so it no longer requires Half-Life: Alyx. More contracts and content are planned as free updates, with roughly five to six contracts targeted for version 1.0.
