House Party comes from developer and publisher Eek! Games. The game reached its full release on July 15, 2022 for PC. Players attend a party at the home of their best friend, so the story starts with an invitation. Because the game is an adult title, it targets mature audiences.

House Party is a social simulation and sandbox, since choices matter. First, players pick a gender, because that choice decides whether the host is Brittany or Derek. Then the night unfolds through conversations and decisions, so each guest reacts to what the player says and does. Meanwhile, missions and side stories give the evening a clear direction. As a result, players can follow one storyline or wander between several.

The game also focuses on managing social interactions and carrying out missions. Additionally, different dialogue and action choices lead to different outcomes in the story. Players therefore see new scenes when they replay the night with another approach. Several optional add-ons also extend the experience after the base game.
